Now that you have completed your booking, it's time to plan your adventure. Your door code will arrive via message in your AirBnB or VRBO app 24 hours before arrival. You are responsible for reading the below information BEFORE ARRIVAL. We look forward to welcoming you to Hurricane Ridge! 

 

 

CHECK IN 

Checkin Procedure: 

- You may check in any time AFTER 4 pm. If you expect you will arrive after dark, please let us know so that we can light the lodge for you. 

- Arrive at property and enter gate code

- Enter code for lodge (provided via messenger to your AirBnB or VRBO app 24 hours before arrival)

- Enjoy your stay!

CHECK OUT 

Check Out is at 10 am.

Checkout Procedure: 

- Check out is at 10 am 

- Please put any dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it 

- Please tie up all Trash and haul to the outdoor bins

- Please place all bath towels in the laundry room on the main floor and start a load in the washing machine

- Please place all rags and outdoor towels in the downstairs laundry room and start a load in the washing machine 

- Please be sure all lights are turned off, windows are closed, and doors are shut. 

- Failure to complete the requested checkout procedure will result in a $250 fee 

While we would love to extend the time, often there are guests checking in shortly after your departure. To guarantee that the cabin is ready for the next guests, we ask that you please be respectful of the time. Should you be in the cabin after 10 am, the cleaners may begin the cleaning process while you are onsite. Please be sure that you have completed the checkout list BEFORE departure BEFORE 10 am. If you wish to extend your stay, please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we may make arrangements. Unapproved late departure will result in a $50 per half hour charge. 

 

ISSUES, QUESTIONS, CONCERNS

If at any point something is not to your satisfaction during your stay, please reach out WHILE YOU ARE ON SITE so that we may have the opportunity to correct the issue. We are incredibly grateful for feedback and can not stress how much we appreciate the opportunity to address any issues that may arise. That said, if we do not hear from you during your stay, we will allow you to enjoy your vacation with your friends and family. We aim to be hands-off-helpful and will only interrupt if it is of the utmost importance. We do live onsite and may stop in to introduce ourselves. Please know that if you need anything we are readily available.

FIRE PLACES AND FIRE PITS 

We love the warmth of a good campfire but also love our woods and lodge. Please be sure to properly extinguish all campfires and indoor fires before leaving the home or going for a hike. Fires should NEVER be left unattended. Please know that you will be held responsible for any damage resulting from uncared for fires. Firewood is provided as a complimentary service. 

 

TRASH MANAGEMENT 

Guests are welcome to use the trash receptacles that are located on the front porch.

In order to ride OHV/ATVs in the North Cumberland WMA (Royal Blue, New River, Sundquist) guests will need to purchase a Combo Hunt / Fish (001) and WMA Small Game (093) Permit. These can be purchased here. If you wish to ride on Brimstone or Windrock land, guests must obtain separate passes available for purchase through them directly.

CONCERNS GPS, INTERNET & CELLULAR COVERAGE 

The area has limited cell phone coverage but we are quite lucky here to have fiber wifi right at the lodge. Guests can expect to connect to wifi upon arrival which can be used for work, placing phone calls, and even streaming.

In the lodge you will find a welcome book and a journal. We invite you to read through the welcome book for recommended activities, campfire recipes, and a bit of area information.
